Bruce Pilbeam

Dr Bruce Pilbeam serves as Senior Lecturer in Politics and International Relations at London Metropolitan University's School of Social Sciences and Professions, where he has taught since 2005. He holds leadership roles as Course Leader for both the International Relations, Peace and Conflict Studies BA (Hons) and the Peace, Conflict and Diplomacy MA programs.

His educational qualifications include a BA from Warwick University and PhD from Sheffield University, forming the foundation for his expertise in political theory and international affairs.

Bruce specializes in Peace and Conflict Studies with complementary focus on Comparative Politics, US Politics, and UK Politics. His research examines theoretical frameworks of conflict resolution alongside practical applications in modern state politics, particularly exploring ideological shifts in Western democracies and security paradigms.
