Bruce E. Cain is a Professor of Political Science at Stanford University and Director of the Bill Lane Center for the American West. He holds the Charles Louis Ducommun Professorship in the School of Humanities & Sciences and is a Senior Fellow at the Woods Institute for the Environment, SIEPR, and the Precourt Institute for Energy. Cain's career spans over four decades, with prior roles at Caltech and UC Berkeley.
