Bruce D'Arcus is an Associate Professor and Director of the Graduate Program in the Department of Geography at Miami University. He holds a B.A. in Geography from UCLA (1994), an M.A. from the University of Colorado (1997), and a Ph.D. from Syracuse University (2001).
His research focuses on public space, citizenship, and media, with a critical lens on protest movements, urban sociology, and political geography. Courses taught include GEO 101: Global Forces & Local Diversity, GEO 211: Global Change, and advanced topics in public space and geographic thought.
