Nalin Jayasena is an Associate Professor of English Literature at Miami University, affiliated with the Department of English and the Department of Global & Intercultural Studies. He joined Miami University in 2004 after earning his PhD in English Literature from the University of California, Riverside. His research focuses on postcolonial studies, Sri Lankan cinema, and colonial literature, with a current book project on the cinema of the Sri Lankan armed conflict titled *The Bounty of War*.
