Brooke Andrew is an Associate Professor at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) within the Faculty of Health, School of Psychology & Counselling. She holds a PhD from the University of Queensland and a Bachelor of Social Science from Bond University. Her research focuses on psychology and public health, with particular emphasis on mental health, posttraumatic growth, diabetes-related behavioral health, and neuroscientific approaches to understanding cognitive processes.
Her work spans diverse areas such as adolescent psychological distress, work-family conflict dynamics, eating disorders in diabetes populations, and cognitive effects of chemotherapy. Recent research highlights include leveraging EEG and neurofeedback techniques to study posttraumatic growth mechanisms and evaluating psychological scales for adolescent mental health assessments.
Publications demonstrate a strong interdisciplinary approach, integrating statistical methods, neuroscience, and clinical psychology. She has contributed to studies on parenting stress in ADHD-affected families and the long-term effects of chemotherapy on cognitive recovery in breast cancer patients.
