Dr Brittany Ferdinands is a Lecturer in Digital Content Creation at the University of Sydney's Discipline of Media and Communications, within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. She holds a PhD in Media and Communications from the same university and an Honours BA in Media and Communications. Her research examines the 'Exposure Economy,' focusing on visibility and monetization strategies on platforms like Instagram and TikTok, informed by her autoethnographic experiences as a lifestyle influencer with over 20,000 followers.
