Britta Cardozo is a Professor at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University, where she joined in July 2025. Previously, she held positions as an Assistant Professor at Seton Hall University’s School of Diplomacy and International Relations, and taught at Howard University School of Law and New York University School of Law. She also served as Interim Director of the Thurgood Marshall Civil Rights Center at Howard Law School. Before academia, she worked at the European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights, the Atlantic Council’s Strategic Litigation Project, and Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP.
Her research and teaching focus on international law, critical legal theory, and reparatory justice. She holds a J.D. from Yale Law School and a B.A. from Princeton University.
