Dr. Brigitte Ganswindt is a Research Fellow at the Research Center Deutscher Sprachatlas (Philipps-Universität Marburg). Her work focuses on historical language variation, standard German evolution, phonetics/phonology, and digital linguistic infrastructure. She leads the Documentation and Knowledge Transfer division and co-heads the IGDD's Phonetics and Phonology section.

Research Interests: Ganswindt specializes in 19th–21st-century language variation, historical prestige dialects, and digital humanities projects like LINGURINTH (educational games) and REDE (dialect GIS). Her work bridges traditional dialectology with modern computational methods.
