Brian H Kiepper serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Poultry Science within the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at the University of Georgia. He maintains an adjunct faculty appointment in the College of Engineering and allocates his professional responsibilities as 62% Extension, 25% Teaching, and 13% Research.
Dr. Kiepper's research program centers on sustainable environmental management of water in poultry processing facilities, investigating both internal aspects (water use, quality, conservation/reuse; wastewater generation, assessment, treatment) and external factors (stormwater management). His work develops innovative technologies for recovering value-added products from traditional poultry processing waste streams while minimizing environmental impact.
His teaching portfolio includes POUL 2020 – Introductory Poultry Science, POUL 3790 – Poultry Seminar, POUL (FDST) 4860/6860 – Poultry Processing, and POUL 4990 – Undergraduate Teaching Assistance Experience. Dr. Kiepper's educational background features a Ph.D. in Poultry Science and M.S. in Food Science from the University of Georgia, plus a B.S.A. in Animal Science from Tennessee Technological University.
