Brian Collins

Brian K. Collins is a Professor of Practice in Sales at Virginia Tech (VT), serving as Director of the VT Sales Center, Sales Competition Team Director, and faculty advisor to the PSE sales fraternity. He chairs the Sales Industry Board at VT and has over 20 years of industry experience in banking, M&A, and sales, including roles as SVP in sales training. He holds a B.S. in Finance with a Minor in English and an MBA in Finance from VT, alongside the 2016 Certificate of Teaching Excellence.

Education: B.S. in Finance/Minor in English and MBA in Finance from Virginia Tech.

Research interests focus on B2B sales skills, negotiation mastery, and sales force management. His career spans executive sales training, mentoring MBA students (2008–2014), and leadership roles on the MBA Alumni Board, Marketing Advisory Board (as Chairman and Funding Chair), and the National PSE Board as Educator Vice President (2014–2016).

Awards include recognition for mentorship (2009, 2012) and teaching excellence (2016). He advises sales teams and oversees competitive initiatives through the Sales Center and PSE.
