Brian Bowman is a Lecturer in the Department of Communication Studies at Campbell University’s College of Arts & Sciences. With over 20 years of industry experience, he focuses on media storytelling and its societal impact. Previously, he worked as a news reporter at WRAL News and in public relations, earning national and regional awards for video and social media campaigns.
Education: M.A. in Digital Communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Research interests include media message analysis, digital communication strategies, and the role of media in a free society. Bowman emphasizes practical skills through student collaboration and has been recognized for teaching excellence.
Awards include the Dean’s Award for Excellence in Teaching (2020) and NetVUE Faculty Fellow status. His office is located in Lundy-Fetterman Building, Room 259.
