Karen Mishra is an Associate Professor of Business at Campbell University’s Lundy-Fetterman School of Business. Her academic career spans roles at institutions such as North Carolina State University, East Carolina University, and Meredith College, alongside industry experience as a Chief Marketing Officer, National Account Manager for a Pepsi account, and Recruiting Manager at General Motors. She holds a Ph.D. in Marketing Communications (University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill), an MBA from the University of Michigan, and a BA in Economics and Management from Albion College.
Her research focuses on leadership, marketing communications, trust in organizations, and employee engagement. Notable works include studies on social media’s role in global spirituality, sustainable advertising frameworks, and strategies to build brand engagement through digital platforms. She co-authored four leadership-focused books and is a Gallup-certified Strengths Coach.
Mishra’s publications highlight trends in internal communication for employee retention, trust-building in leadership, and the intersection of digital literacy with marketing curricula. Her work often bridges academic theory and practical business applications, emphasizing ethics, sustainability, and innovative teaching methods.
