Brayden King is a Professor of Management & Organizations and the Max McGraw Chair in Management and the Environment at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. He is also affiliated with the Department of Sociology. His research explores how social movements influence corporate social responsibility, organizational change, and legislative policies, with a focus on activism's impact on sustainability and corporate reputation. King has held editorial roles across leading journals, including Organization Science and Administrative Science Quarterly, and serves as an International Research Fellow at Oxford University's Centre for Corporate Reputation. Key awards include the Kellogg Research Mentorship Award and the Oxford Centre's Best Annual Paper Award (2014-15). His work bridges sociology and management, addressing topics like activist strategies, institutional dynamics, and organizational theory. King earned his PhD in Sociology from the University of Arizona (2005) and has taught at institutions including Brigham Young University and Kellogg since 2005.
Research Interests: Social movements, corporate social responsibility, environmental sustainability, corporate reputation, and organizational change. His interdisciplinary approach integrates qualitative and computational methods to analyze activism strategies and their societal impacts.
