Dr. Branka Bajić is a Researcher in the Department of Genetic Research at the Institute for Biological Research Siniša Stanković, affiliated with the University of Belgrade. She holds a Ph.D. in Biology (2023), an M.Sc. (2015), and a B.Sc. (2014) from the University of Belgrade.

Her research focuses on the genetic diversity of bats and small rodents, particularly host-parasite systems involving bats and ectoparasites. She conducts field studies on bat roosts, seasonal migrations, and urban ecology to support conservation of protected species. She has participated in international collaborations, including ERASMUS+ research stays in Italy (2017) and Germany (2019), and projects like the Lloviu Virus Study and Romanian-Serbian Iron Gates Bat Conservation.
Branka actively engages in science promotion through popular science events, media appearances, and informal education at the Petnica Research Centre and biology student associations. She has enhanced her skills in conservation planning, evolutionary biology programming, and grant proposal writing.
