Brad Pickering, PhD, is an Adjunct Professor at the Max Rady College of Medicine, University of Manitoba, and Head of the Special Pathogens Unit at the National Centre for Foreign Animal Disease (NCFAD) within the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. His research focuses on high-consequence zoonotic viruses of veterinary importance, including henipaviruses, bunyaviruses, filoviruses, and coronaviruses, with emphasis on pathogenesis, host-virus interactions, and viral transmission.
