Brad Loper is a Lecturer in the Communication Department at The University of Texas at Arlington, holding the role of Specialist since 2014. He earned a BA in Communication (Photojournalism) with a minor in Criminal Justice from UTA in 1993. His professional career spans over 20 years as a photojournalist at The Dallas Morning News, where he contributed to award-winning coverage of major events like Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, the Space Shuttle Columbia tragedy, and NBA Finals. Loper’s expertise includes photojournalism, multimedia, and sports media, reflected in his teaching of courses like Photojournalism I & II and Writing for Mass Media.
