AJ Chavar served as a Teaching Fellow in Immersive Journalism at Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications during the 2023-24 academic year, teaching Photojournalism, Documentary Photography, and Immersive and Spatial Storytelling while concurrently working as a production technologist at The New York Times R&D lab.
