Bodo Steiner

Bodo Steiner is a Professor of Food Economics & Business Management at the University of Helsinki, affiliated with the Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry and the Department of Economics and Management. He leads the research group Management & Organizations For Sustainable Food Systems and serves as Deputy Director of the Department. He coordinates the Making Agricultural Trade Sustainable (MATS) project, funded by Horizon 2020. Key roles include membership in the Helsinki Institute of Sustainability Science (HELSUS), Helsinki Inequality Initiative (INEQ), and Helsinki Institute of Urban and Regional Studies (URBARIA).

Education: PhD in Agricultural & Food Economics from the University of Reading (1999), with prior academic appointments at institutions like UC Berkeley and University of Alberta.
