Dr. Bobbie Posmontier is the inaugural Evelyn Lauder Chair in Psychiatric Mental Health and a tenured professor at the Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing, Hunter College, City University of New York (CUNY). With over 40 years of clinical experience as a nurse-midwife and psychiatric nurse practitioner, she specializes in health equity for underserved populations, particularly focusing on perinatal mental health.

Her research emphasizes technology-driven solutions for postpartum depression, including digital health platforms and mobile interventions to improve maternal-infant outcomes. She also explores nutrition in perinatal depression, patient navigation models, and adapted mental health methodologies for high-needs populations.
Dr. Posmontier leads NIH-funded projects and co-directs the evidence-based perinatal mental health program Mother Baby Connections at Drexel University. She serves as a reviewer for peer-reviewed journals and NIH research proposals through NIMHD, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing.
