Blanca San Segundo

Blanca San Segundo serves as a Research Professor at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), based at the Centre for Research in Agricultural Genomics (CRAG) on the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona campus. She leads the Plant Immune Responses to Pathogen Infection research group within the Plant Responses to Stress program, focusing on molecular defense mechanisms in plants.

Her research centers on plant immunity against pathogens, investigating biochemical signaling pathways during infection stress. This work spans plant pathology, molecular plant-microbe interactions, and stress physiology, with applications in agricultural disease resistance.
