Research aims to improve crop yields through understanding plant defense mechanisms against pathogens. Key focus areas include: epigenetic regulation of biotic stress responses, chromatin remodeling in immune receptor function, development of antimicrobial solutions for crop diseases, and small RNA-mediated plant-microbe interactions.
Recent publications feature breakthrough research on citrus Huanglongbing treatment (PNAS 2021) and chromatin regulation of immune receptors (Cell Host & Microbe 2021). Research utilizes omics approaches to identify key defense regulators.
