Blake Poland is an Associate Professor at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto. He holds cross-appointments in the Leadership, Higher and Adult Education department (OISE/UT) and Geography & Planning (University of Toronto), and is a Senior Fellow at the Centre for Critical Qualitative Health Research.

Dr. Poland specializes in community resilience, social-environmental justice, and qualitative methods. His research bridges public health with urban planning, focusing on the interplay between social systems and ecological sustainability. Key projects include pandemic response frameworks, climate change adaptation, and equitable urban development.
His recent publications emphasize planetary health, community-led pandemic responses, and wellbeing in the built environment. He has secured significant funding from CIHR, SSHRC, and university strategic grants for initiatives like curricular reform, climate justice, and connected community approaches.
