Björn Jindra is a part-time Leading Scientific Employee at the Chair of Economics of Innovation and Structural Change, University of Bremen, and holds a full-time Associate Professor position at Copenhagen Business School. His research focuses on international business, innovation, and development studies, particularly multinational firms' roles in emerging economies' technological development and global AI technology dynamics. He holds a PhD in Science and Technology Policy from the University of Sussex (SPRU) and a Habilitation in Economics from the University of Bremen.
He has held visiting roles at the University of Reading (UK) and the Centre for Science, Technology and Innovation Indicators (South Africa). His work examines global value chains, R&D internationalization, and technology upgrading in emerging markets. He has taught courses on global value chains, innovation ecosystems, and international business environments at multiple universities.
His research interests include the intersection of multinational enterprises, technology diffusion, and structural economic changes. He has contributed to understanding how firms navigate global production networks and leverage R&D strategies in competitive environments.
