Matheus Eduardo Leusin

Matheus Eduardo Leusin is a Research Fellow at the University of Bremen, affiliated with the Faculty of Business Studies and Economics and the IERP Working Group on Evolutionary Economics. His research focuses on Artificial Intelligence (AI) development, innovation systems, and technological sustainability. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Bremen and prior degrees from the University of Santa Catarina, Brazil. His work explores AI's global diffusion, digital sustainability technologies aligned with the European Green Deal, and wind energy dynamics in Brazil.

• Professional Experience: Guest Researcher at BIBA (Bremer Institut für Produktion und Logistik) during his master's; Postdoc since 2022

Research interests include evolutionary perspectives on technological change, firm innovation strategies, and policy impacts on sustainable technology adoption. His publications span AI patent analysis, wind energy diffusion in emerging markets, and Industry 4.0 applications in smart factories.
