Dr. Binyamin Cooper is an Assistant Professor of Business Administration at Morgan State University’s School of Business & Management. He specializes in organizational behavior and conflict resolution, with a focus on how individuals and groups navigate challenging interpersonal interactions in workplaces. His research employs quantitative methods and experimental designs to address issues like workplace incivility, resilience, and ethical decision-making.
Cooper holds a Ph.D. in Management (University of Florida, 2020), an M.A. in Social-Organizational Psychology (Bar-Ilan University, 2014), and a B.A. in Psychology (Hebrew University of Jerusalem, 2011). Prior to his academic role, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business and as an organizational analyst in Israel’s high-tech, healthcare, and financial sectors.
His research interests include low-intensity workplace mistreatment, honesty, resilience, negotiation, and conflict management. He is a member of the International Association for Conflict Management (IACM) and the Academy of Management (AoM).
Cooper’s recent work explores how rudeness impacts team performance, decision-making, and diagnostic accuracy in healthcare settings. His findings highlight the far-reaching consequences of workplace incivility and emphasize strategies to foster resilience and ethical behavior.
