Binh Le is a Lecturer in Engineering at City St George's, University of London, where he contributes to teaching and research in geotechnical and civil engineering. He holds a PhD in Geotechnical Engineering from City, University of London, and a BSc (Hons) in Transportation Engineering from Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport.
His research focuses on sustainable underground construction, including tunnelling-induced soil displacements, shaft installation effects, and advanced numerical and centrifuge modelling. He is pioneering work in digital twin and machine learning applications for monitoring underground infrastructure.
Binh has secured and led research projects funded by NAFOSTED, Leverhulme Trust, and GCRF, with applications in Ho Chi Minh City and Southeast Asian urban contexts. His work bridges practical engineering challenges with innovative computational methods.
He has received travel awards from NAFOSTED and ISSMGE to attend major international geotechnical conferences and was recognized as Runner-Up in the Young Geotechnical Engineer Symposium by the British Geotechnical Association.
Binh supervises undergraduate, master’s, and PhD research projects and has taught courses such as Advanced Analytical Methods, Sensor Systems, and Engineering Design. He is actively engaged in multidisciplinary research and knowledge exchange with industry and government agencies in Vietnam and the UK.
