Dr. Chau Duong is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance at the University of East London (UEL), affiliated with the Royal Docks School of Business and Law and the Department of Business Entrepreneurship & Finance. He serves as Programme Leader for the MSc Professional Accounting and has held roles as a Link Tutor for UEL's Vietnam National University franchise. With a PhD from the University of Kent and MSc from the University of Durham, he has been supported by prestigious scholarships including Chevening and Shell Centenary. His professional experience includes auditing at Ernst & Young, freelance consulting, and teaching in Vietnam and the UK.
Dr. Duong's research focuses on behavioral finance, corporate governance, earnings management, and finance education. Recent studies include analyzing deviations in financial statements from Benford’s Law and global responses to the financial crisis’s impact on innovation. He also explores pandemic-related educational challenges and corruption's role in pandemic responses.
