Biljana Narancic is a Research Fellow affiliated with Laval University's Department of Biology. Her work focuses on aquatic ecosystems in polar and temperate regions, combining limnology, isotope hydrology, and sedimentology.
Education:
- PhD in Geography (2017), Université Laval
- MSc in Geography (2011), Université Laval
- BA in Integrated International Studies (2008), Université Laval
Research interests center on paleolimnological reconstructions of environmental changes, with emphasis on Arctic and Subarctic regions. Her methodologies include water isotope tracers, sediment analysis, and biogeochemical proxies.
Scientific awards include FRQNT and Mitacs Elevation postdoctoral fellowships. Her publications highlight interdisciplinary approaches to understanding Arctic hydrology and climate change, with collaborations across Canada and international institutions.
She is actively involved with the IRL Takuvik UL/CNRS program, contributing to projects on Holocene climate change and wastewater flow sources in Lake St. Charles.
