Dr. Bid Webb is a Lecturer in Agroforestry at Bangor University's School of Environmental and Natural Sciences, serving as Course Director for the MSc Tropical Forestry and MSc Environmental Forestry programs. His research focuses on soil function, hydrology, and carbon dynamics in agroforestry and forest systems, with expertise in Natural Flood Management (NFM) and temperate rainforest restoration. He co-supervises doctoral research exploring rainforest restoration methods and carbon sequestration.
Previously, he spent 14 years with Natural Resources Wales in ecological monitoring and conservation. Webb leads the Forestry Group’s Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) initiatives and directs the Foresters of the Future project, a residential summer camp inspiring underrepresented youth through forestry education and outdoor engagement.
Teaching duties include modules on agroforestry, urban forestry, and environmental management. His work bridges academic research with practical applications, emphasizing sustainable land use and policy development.
