Bibiana Anderson is a Lecturer and unit coordinator in the School of Medical and Health Sciences at Edith Cowan University (ECU), specializing in Food Service Management within the Master of Nutrition and Dietetics program. She holds a Master of Nutrition & Dietetics (Deakin University, 1994) and a Bachelor of Science (Curtin University, 1992). With over 30 years of industry experience in clinical, regional, and remote community settings—particularly in aged care and corporate food service—she combines academic teaching with ongoing consulting work in these areas.
Her research focuses on Food Service systems, Aged Care nutrition, and Sustainability of the food supply. Notably, she led the ReFood project (2017–2019), a food-sharing initiative supported by a $12,798 grant from the Waste Authority. She was recognized with ECU’s 2017 Vice-Chancellor’s Staff Excellence Award for a community engagement project linking dietetic students with Breakers Swim Club to provide nutritious meals for children.
Bibi’s teaching emphasizes authentic learning environments, and she actively promotes student collaboration with real-world organizations. She is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and has been a member of Dietitians Australia since 1995.
