Bianca Slocombe is an Assistant Professor at the Centre for Trust, Peace and Social Relations, Coventry University, where she conducts interdisciplinary research at the nexus of psychology, behavioural science, and security studies. Her work particularly focuses on decision-making, cognitive heuristics, extremism, and counter-terrorism, with applied projects for CREST, REPHRAIN, and NaCTSO.
Research Interests: Her research spans behavioural science, psychology, protective security, counter-terrorism, extremism, cognitive heuristics and biases, rationality, and experimental methods. She integrates both quantitative and qualitative methodologies, emphasizing evidence-based approaches to understanding violent extremism and legal responses.
