Dr. Beth Weinman is a Professor in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at California State University, Fresno. She holds a B.S. in Geology from CUNY Queens, an M.S. in Marine and Atmospheric Sciences from Stony Brook University, and a Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences from Vanderbilt University.
Her research focuses on sustainability, hydrogeology, sedimentology, and soil science. Key projects include coastal sustainability studies in Morro Bay, groundwater sustainability in the Central Valley, computational sustainability collaborations, and river soil and sediment investigations along the San Joaquin River. She emphasizes experiential learning through internships with SEI Energize Colleges, Climate Action Corps, and First Carbon Solutions.
Dr. Weinman is actively involved in campus sustainability initiatives, including the HIP Symposium, Water and Sustainability Club, and the CSU Lab Innovations with Technology (CSU LIT) program.
