Beth Lyon is a Clinical Professor of Law at Cornell Law School, where she serves as Associate Dean for Experiential Education and Clinical Program Director. She founded the Farmworker Legal Assistance Clinic and co-founded the Low-Income Taxpayer Law and Accounting Practicum, focusing on experiential legal education.
- Education: BA from University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill; MS from Georgetown University School of Foreign Service; JD from Georgetown University Law Center.
Her research and practice center on migrant rights, deportation defense, and addressing xenophobic hate speech, with a particular emphasis on portable justice and language access to justice for marginalized communities. She has contributed to initiatives like the Goal Indicators for Portable Justice project.
