Beth Gore is a Senior Lecturer in Primary and Childhood Education at Edge Hill University, specializing in Physical Education. She previously taught in UK primary schools and an international school in Dubai, holding roles including KS2 class teacher and Subject Lead for Physical Education and Languages. Her teaching responsibilities at Edge Hill include modules on Physical Education and Primary Languages in QTS Initial Teacher Education programmes, and she leads the 'How Children Learn' strand across all Initial Teacher Education programmes. She also serves as a Personal Academic Tutor for first-year undergraduate teacher trainees.
Research interests focus on Physical Education's impact in the primary curriculum, inclusivity in PE, intergenerational poverty and attainment gaps, and Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) education. She holds an MA Education (2023) and a BA Primary Education with QTS (2015), both from Edge Hill University.
