Beth Ginsberg is an Associate Professor in Residence in the Department of Political Science at the University of Connecticut, affiliated with the Stamford Campus. She holds a PhD in American Government and Politics from New York University (2007) and has extensive teaching experience at multiple institutions, including Baruch College, NYU, and Hofstra University. Her academic work focuses on electoral behavior, particularly Latino voting patterns, race and ethnicity impacts on turnout, and political representation. She has authored numerous conference papers and collaborates with scholars like Dr. Sarah Perez on Latino political behavior studies.
Dr. Ginsberg actively mentors undergraduate research through grants such as the Bennett RA program, advising over 30 students since 2010. Her professional affiliations include the American Political Science Association and multiple regional political science associations. She has presented at major conferences including the APSA and MPSA, addressing topics like geographic influences on Latino turnout and identity politics.
Her service includes roles on the UConn CLAS Diversity Council, General Education committees, and faculty advisory boards. Community involvement includes leadership roles in Jewish educational institutions and Scouting organizations. She is fluent in Hebrew and has delivered public lectures on topics ranging from voting rights to progressive politics and religious traditions.
