Bernhard Lehner is an Associate Professor at McGill University based in Burnside Hall, specializing in large-scale hydrology and hydrography. His research analyzes terrestrial water cycles across river basins, continents, and the globe to investigate climate and environmental change impacts on water resources, floods, and droughts. He integrates hydrological science with freshwater biodiversity conservation through environmental flow assessments, river habitat classifications, and dam impact evaluations.
