Professor Lee Brown is a freshwater ecologist at the University of Leeds, holding the position of Professor of Aquatic Science within the School of Geography and Faculty of Environment. His research focuses on river ecosystems, biodiversity, and functional processes in cold regions (alpine, arctic) and UK uplands, addressing impacts of climate change, catchment management, and environmental flows.
- Education: PhD in Physical Geography (University of Birmingham), PGCLTHE (University of Leeds), BSc in Environmental Biogeoscience (University of Leeds)

• Glacier retreat effects on Arctic/alpine river ecosystems
• Environmental flow management for dam mitigation

• Aquatic food web dynamics across ecosystems
