Prof. Bernard Nijstad is a Full Professor at the University of Groningen’s Faculty of Economics and Business, leading the Department of HRM/OB. He holds a PhD in Psychology from Utrecht University (2000, cum laude) and has held academic roles at the University of Amsterdam and the University of Groningen since 2005. His research focuses on creativity, decision-making, and team processes, with notable contributions to understanding creative pathways and organizational innovation. He has supervised 13 PhD students and received multiple awards, including the NWO VICI grant (2016) for creativity research. His teaching spans organizational behavior, creativity, and experimental design across bachelor’s and master’s programs.
