Benton Gordon is a Cybersecurity Research Fellow at the Jackson School of International Studies, University of Washington. He focuses on Taiwan’s global internet governance participation and the application of China’s Personal Information Protection Law in PRC courts.
His research and advocacy span:
- Taiwan-China geopolitical dynamics
- Technology-enhanced authoritarianism
- Religious freedom and human rights in China
Scientific awards include:
- IPI Cybersecurity Fellowship
- Liu Xiaobo Fellowship
Gordon previously served as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant and International College Mentor in Taiwan, with academic roots in music performance from the Eastman School of Music.
