معرفی
Benjamin Turk, PhD, is a Professor of Pharmacology and Director of Medical Studies at the Yale School of Medicine. His research focuses on understanding molecular mechanisms of cellular phosphorylation networks and their rewiring in cancer. He holds affiliations with multiple departments, including Biochemistry and Yale Cancer Center. His work integrates proteomics, biochemistry, and structural biology to decode kinase-substrate interactions.
Education:
- Postdoc, Harvard Medical School (2004)
- PhD in Chemistry, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1999)
- BA in Chemistry, Oberlin College (1990)
Research Interests: Dr. Turk explores protein kinase substrate targeting, phosphorylation networks in cancer, and drug development for signaling pathways. His lab uses peptide arrays and proteome-wide screens to map kinase interactions and identify new therapeutic targets.
Publications: His recent work includes studies on ERK2 specificity mutations, MAPK docking motifs, and tyrosine kinase substrate specificity. These contributions highlight his focus on understanding signaling pathways and their dysregulation in disease.
Labs/Teams: He leads the Turk Lab, part of the Department of Pharmacology, collaborating with institutions like Yale Cancer Center and the Biomedical Data Science program. His research bridges basic science and translational medicine.
