Benjamin Opie is an Artist Lecturer in Music Technology at Carnegie Mellon University and teaches at CAPA High School. He founded and coaches the CAPA Antithesis, an avant-garde ensemble. He actively performs with groups like Thoth Trio (intense acoustic jazz), OPEK (reduced-size big band), and Syrinx Ensemble (improvisation with live birds).
