Benjamin Miskle

Benjamin Miskle, PharmD, is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Science at the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy. He holds academic positions focused on clinical pharmacy practice and research in substance use disorders and psychiatric pharmacotherapy. His work bridges clinical practice, policy, and education.

His research interests center on addiction treatment innovations, geriatric psychiatry, and medication disposal guidelines. He explores intersections between criminal justice and healthcare systems, particularly post-incarceration recovery and racial disparities in LSD perception. His publications address cannabis use disorder treatment, opioid use in pregnancy, and MAT facility comparisons.

Dr. Miskle co-leads the iACCESS grant through the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services, focusing on addiction care coordination. He actively contributes to professional organizations including the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) and College of Psychiatric and Neurologic Pharmacists (CPNP).
