Lisa M. Whittington is an Associate Professor of Clinical Pharmacy at the University of Southern California School of Pharmacy, where she also serves as Senior Director of Residency Programs and Vice Chair of Education and Practice within the Titus Family Department of Clinical Pharmacy. She joined USC Mann in June 2017 after previously serving as an assistant professor at the University of Arizona College of Pharmacy starting in 2010.

Dr. Whittington holds board certification in both psychiatric pharmacy and pharmacotherapy (BCPS, BCPP) and brings nearly 25 years of clinical experience working with patients with psychiatric disorders across all age groups, with particular focus on underserved populations. Her research spans psychiatric pharmacy, mental health wellness, pharmacogenomics application, and innovative teaching strategies for pharmacy education.
Her scholarly work reveals consistent focus on depression screening and treatment patterns across various patient populations including those with Parkinson's disease, stroke survivors, and individuals with multiple sclerosis. She has made significant contributions to understanding mental health interventions in specialty populations and developing educational frameworks for psychiatric pharmacy practice.

Dr. Whittington has held prominent leadership positions including Past President of the American Association of Psychiatric Pharmacists and President of the College of Psychiatric and Neurologic Pharmacists (CPNP). She is actively involved with the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy as chair-elect of the Pharmacy Practice Section and with the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists' Section of Pharmacy Educators Advisory Group. Her work bridges clinical practice, education, and policy to advance psychiatric pharmacy services and reduce mental health stigma.
