Benjamin Benus is an Associate Professor of Design History at the College of Music and Media Design, Loyola University New Orleans. His work bridges the history of modern art with the evolution of graphic design and data visualization.

His research explores twentieth-century European and American graphic design, particularly its intersections with modernist ideology, visual communication, and data representation. He has contributed to exhibitions and publications on Herbert Bayer and the Vienna Method.
Benjamin’s scholarship is characterized by its interdisciplinary approach, linking design history to sociological frameworks and art theory. His articles span topics like Constructivism, New Typography, and the socio-political dimensions of design.
