Dr. Ben Voth is a Professor of Rhetoric and Director of Debate at Southern Methodist University (SMU). His work focuses on rhetoric’s role in genocide prevention, civil rights advocacy, and public communication. He has authored award-winning books, including James Farmer Jr.: The Great Debater, and consults with organizations like the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum and the Rwandan Government. His research emphasizes debate as a tool for societal healing and critical thinking. Dr. Voth’s pedagogical methods have influenced global education initiatives, particularly in post-conflict regions like Rwanda.
