Ben McFarlane is a Professor of English Law at the University of Oxford and a Fellow of St John's College, Oxford. He also holds the role of Senior Fellow in the Melbourne Law Masters program at the University of Melbourne. His research focuses on the intersection of property law and obligations law, particularly in commercial contexts, and explores equity's role in modern legal frameworks.
His notable publications include The Law of Proprietary Estoppel (2020) and The Structure of Property Law (2009).
