Ben Main

Dr. Ben Main AM is an Adjunct Industry Associate Professor at RMIT University's School of Engineering and serves as Group Leader of Structures and Materials Experimentation at the Defence Science and Technology Group (DSTG). With 25 years of aerospace experience, he holds a Bachelors, Masters, and PhD in Aeronautical Engineering, along with an MBA. His research focuses on aircraft structural integrity, fatigue crack growth, and structural certification. He was awarded the Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in 2015 for contributions to defense aircraft engineering and currently chairs the International Committee on Aeronautical Fatigue and Structural Integrity (ICAF).
