Ben Giudice serves as Associate Professor of Civil Engineering in the Department of Mechanical, Civil, and Biomedical Engineering at George Fox University, where he has been faculty since 2016. A registered Professional Engineer (PE), he bridges environmental engineering with ecotoxicology and is recognized as a leading expert on Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta water quality issues.
His academic credentials include:
- BS in Engineering with Civil Concentration (2005), Calvin College
- MS in Environmental and Water Resources Engineering (2007), University of California Davis
- PhD in Environmental and Water Resources Engineering (2012), University of California Davis
Research focuses on contaminant fate/transport modeling, aquatic ecosystem risk evaluation, and decision-support tools for environmental managers. He pioneers decentralized water/wastewater technologies for developed/developing worlds, integrating systems with urban agriculture through food-water-energy nexus frameworks. His expertise in aquatic toxicity investigations informs sustainable engineering solutions for developing communities.
As a former senior environmental engineer at Robertson-Bryan, Inc., he managed statewide wastewater, recycled water, and stormwater projects. He actively mentors students pursuing international engineering work in developing regions through project-based learning initiatives that emphasize lifelong curiosity and faith integration.
