Beibei Li is a Professor of IT and Management at Carnegie Mellon University's Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy. She holds joint appointments at the Tepper School of Business and a courtesy appointment at the School of Computer Science's Human-Computer Interaction Institute.

Her research explores the intersection of social and technical aspects of technology, focusing on human decisions in technological disruptions, digitization of behavior, AI ethics, data privacy, and economic welfare. She employs interdisciplinary approaches combining econometrics, machine learning, and randomized experiments.
Beibei has received prestigious awards including the INFORMS ISS Sandy Slaughter Early Career Award (2019), three NSF Awards exceeding $3M, and multiple Best Paper Awards at top conferences like ICIS and WWW. Her work appears in Management Science, Marketing Science, and leading IS, Economics, and CS venues.
