Behrooz Amini

Behrooz Amini is a Lecturer in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at San Diego State University. With a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from UC San Diego and a Micro-MBA from Rady School of Management, Amini brings both technical expertise and business acumen to his role. His research focuses on control systems design, signal processing, optimization, and biological systems modeling.

Prior to academia, Amini managed industrial projects in water treatment plants and pump stations for 16 years, specializing in transient flow control and water hammer mitigation. His current research explores applications in medical devices, electric vehicles, and renewable energy.

His publications demonstrate strong interdisciplinary focus, particularly in control theory applications for chemotherapy optimization and networked systems. Research trends include predictive control strategies, low-bitrate coding for control systems, and dynamical modeling of biological processes.
